Sturqen are César Rodrigues and David Arantes, a duo who hail from Oporto, Portugal. Their music focuses on the physicality of sound, which is created using analogue machines to form layers of immersive sound densities and textures. This results in a very specific approach to music, which demands your full attention.

One of the freshest acts on the Portugueese scene, Sturqen have released their album “Piranha” (2009) and the EP “Peste” (2010) on the on award winning, Ukrainian label Kvitnu. ”Peste” recently won the Discovery category at the Qwartz Awards 2011, Paris.
